Hi, I am Elana Sunshine, a senior at Indiana University studying Media with a concentration in Creative Advertising, originally from Dallas, Texas.

When I first came to IU, I had no idea what I wanted to study. I started as an exploratory major and signed up for an advertising and PR class during my first semester almost on a whim. After class one day, my professor pulled me aside and suggested I look into the major. I decided to take his advice, and I have loved it ever since.

What I enjoy most about advertising is the opportunity to tell a brand's story in a creative and unexpected way. I enjoy taking an idea and figuring out how to bring it to life through visuals, storytelling, and a little bit of personality. I love that even the simplest ideas can turn into something memorable with the right creative approach.

Outside of the classroom, I am involved in IU Dance Marathon and Phi Mu, where I have had the opportunity to connect with others, collaborate, and get involved in things I am passionate about.

Whether I am working on a campaign, creating something new, or spending time with friends, I love finding ways to bring creativity into whatever I am doing.
